Dr. Trevor Maynard Joins the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies
Dr. Trevor Maynard is joining the team at Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies to extend the Centre’s programme of research into emerging risks.
Dr Maynard comes to the Centre from an eminent career in the insurance industry, with 16 years at Lloyd’s, including as Manager of the Emerging Risk Team, Head of Exposure Management and Reinsurance, and most recently, as Head of Innovation. Dr. Maynard will bolster the Centre’s research into business risks such as climate change building on his experience at Lloyd’s exploring issues such as climate impacts on modelling, security, adaptation, and resilience.
Dr Maynard is a key thought-leader in risk and risk transfer, including being instrumental in the development of aggregation management of new classes of insurance, such as cyber insurance.” Said Dr Andrew Coburn, Chief Scientist, Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies. “We are delighted to have him join the Centre and look forward to him making a major contribution to future research on managing complex risks such as climate change.
Dr Maynard will become a Senior Risk Advisor at Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies in Judge Business in the University of Cambridge from September.
