Climate-analytics firm Risilience has been named as a finalist in the Reuters Responsible Business Awards. The award-winning firm has been shortlisted for its ‘Product Innovation’ from a long list of 600 hopefuls.

The awards recognise those businesses that are challenging the status quo and leading to a new, sustainable future.

The Product Innovation Award will be handed to the organisation that has developed an innovative product offering that helps to address a critical social or environmental challenge – this must challenge the status quo.

“We’re really proud of the Climate Risilience platform, so to see it named among the finalists for such a prestigious award is a real testament to the hard work of our entire team,” said Risilience CEO Dr Andrew Coburn.

“In the age of climate disruption, companies must now implement business changes not only to avoid the impacts of the climate crisis but also capitalise on the opportunities that come from taking action. To navigate this transformation, businesses need access to the right data at the right time to make informed strategic decisions on the road to net zero.”

Demand for climate-risk management has increased in recent years, driven by extreme weather events, investor demand, changing consumer behaviour and a complex policy landscape.

Risilience was recently recognised by independent research firm Verdantix in its Smart Innovators: Climate Risk Digital Solutions report, performing well across all categories. The report stated Risilience has market-leading functionality and product differentiation across transition-risk analysis for corporates and impact quantification, namely climate-scenarios coverage, operational-impact quantification and financial-impact quantification.

Award winners will be announced at the Reuters Responsible Business Awards ceremony on Wednesday 1st November, 2023, at 8 Northumberland Avenue in Central London.
